Going into January 2013 I was just finding out that I was pregnant…I posted this picture on facebook/Instagram on Dec. 31st after my appointment at the Birth Center. My pregnancy was confimed….I was 10 weeks when this family picture was taken!
Sadly, two weeks later I found out that I had lost my baby at 12 weeks 5 days in utero…I named my angel, Amadi Ekundayo which means “rejoice, because sorrow brings joy”

I passed my Reading Specialist Praxis exam….194/200....6 points away from a perfect score!

My first group of students that I ever taught…my lovely 3rd graders graduated from 8th grade. My niece (not pictured) also graduated with this group of students….Songhai, I will love you forever and ever! You changed my life! Hoping that high school is treating you right and that you are on the path to success!

It’s been a year of many ups and downs, but I am grateful for the experiences. I know that each experience is what makes me the woman I am today!
